I like this entry. The introduction could be somewhat shorter, but it's got lots of humor in it.
Just one amendment: my experience is that as soon you hear the attack coming, start shaking all your bones (but not too much) and switch on the light (use a remote control if switches are out of reach from the bed). At this very moment the beast is _no_ _farther_ away from the former position of your head than 1.00m, ie, 100 centimeters. Maybe behind some cupboard or curtain, but no farther away.
