London mini-meet - Sat.Nov.23rd
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Started conversation Sep 15, 2002
So far there are 4 attendees - Pierce, Gwennie, Caerwynn and myself.
Anyone else interested?
Location still to be decided, but it might be the pub from the January 2002 meet-up.

Actually GB, I think it may only be 3 attendees, there is a threat of it clashing with a family thing

I'll add this to the page when I update it this week. There are two meet-ups that need to be moved off anyway.
Have you got an entry for me to link to? Otherwise I'll link to this forum. And if it turns out that I've calculated my weekends wrong I'll be there as well. Otherwise I'll try and come up for the afternoon with him.

Pierce can't make the official meet-up, Coely, he's only in London for the second half of Nov.
I think we are going to meet up at The Sutton Arms, which is where we met up in January and the pub landlady thought we were such a nice group of people.

Marvellous. Have you checked with the pub to make sure that they are open? I didn't think that they opened on a Saturday...

Hiya - I'll be home soon.
So what is the plan/purpose for this meet exactly. (I go away for a weekend and everything happens...)

Hi
The Sutton Arms only opens during the week - this is because it is in an area with lots of offices and not many residential buildings. The landlady also has young children. You will find that is quite common in the business dominated areas of London.
They opened up for us specially - it was the magic three letters that did it!

Guess it will have to be elsewhere then. The Head of Steam (Euston Station) is a good pub - with barbillards and lots of ales (and cider). Ought to be open on a sat I should think.

yes, "The Head of Steam" is in a good location for anybody to get to by tube or from the north by rail, and it's a nice friendly place with good beer and ciders, the only thing is they don't do food in the evenings so you have to eat in the afternoon or something.
I'd be very likely to come along on a Saturday.
