You could go to both if you own your own jet....
Or are able to borrow one for a little while.

Actually, I had thought of that - since Reading is not *that* far from Heathrow... I could do a Phil Collins and attend both.

But it doesn't really seem such a great idea - it is possible to spend too much time in airports, and I do.

Why did you pick the same day, for goodness' sake? Some of us live nowhere near either, so it is six and two threes as to which we attend.

I am absolutely serious - I would have gone to both of them if they had been on different days.

Now I can't. Grrrrrrrr. smiley - grr

We only found out that they were both on the same day today.
Mainly because most of the people who are in the South think "I can't travel to Scotland", and ignored those conversations, and those who are in Scotland thought "I can't travel to Reading", and ignored these conversations.

But I didn't see any of the 'Reading' conversations till you posted this here....

I can't remember where I saw the Scottish conversation / announcement.

But this is the FIRST WHIFF of a Reading meet I have heard. Maybe that says more about where I hang out in h2g2 of course. But even so.

OK, I acknowledge that I am unusual in that I have never yet let logistics stand in the way of a night out...

But...
But.....
But........

Loads of people live halfway - Tefkat and AGB both spring to mind. And there are people like Munckin and me who live in England but regularly party in Scotland.

I'll calm down about it soon, but I am going to feel sore about it for the rest of today.

Ben

Yeah, there's the whole DNA thing... which I hadn't realised, but I'm sure we'll have a drink to him... smiley - biggrin

Dilemas Dilemmas - So DNA was a Taurus - I will certainly be raising a glass to him with fellow researchers, but the jury is still out on where.

Funny how chocolate makes me so much less cranky - but why do we want it the most when we could do with it the least?

Either way - I am sure that both meets will be a wild success.

Well, I know 'I' am going to Edinburg (probably twice, just like Londonsmiley - laugh) Anyone want to print 'me' out for Reading?

Kinda cool, actually... No way I can make either in the flesh, but I can send 'myself' to as many meets as I want!smiley - bigeyes

Sorry, Fish, didn't mean to confuse you, though it looks like Bluebottle has some idea... I don't have time to explain right now, but if you go to my space you might see an explanation...

The file size is very big, because I didn't reduce the image so it will print nicely...

So who wants to print 'me' out?
