In good weather I would plump for a combination of 3 and 4. Afternoon tobogganing followed by a meal in the tree barn.

If the weather is not so good, I think ZKM is suitable, followed by a riotous evening in an Irish pub, all in KA.

On principal though, we should avoid anywhere too loud. And while I am prepare to commit murder to hear good blues music, I would have to be murdered before anyone got me on skis or skates.

This is going to be like one of those intelligence tests - Mary is wearing a red dress but doesn't like football, the girl who plays chess is not wearing a yellow dress, Betty is not wearing a blue dress and does not like tennis......

And Art nouveau is Jugendstil. Toulouse l'Autrec and tacky tiffany lamps. yuk. Lots of dirty corners and cold rooms. All right to look at though, but not to live in.

Swimming would be an alternative for bad weather, but not too conducive for conversation.

As snow is unlikely, on second thoughts, perhaps I should review my good weather choice and go for Bad Liebenzell or Waldbronn for a walk and finishing up either in the barn or somewhere nice and cosy nearby.

Just a short comment to talking and bathing in Bad Wildbad. Thats the cool thing about the "Friedrichsbad". You cannot realy swim, and there are a number of very nice little (and medium-sized) pools, where talking is the only other thing worthwhile next to relaxing. And then there is the Maurische Halle, you can get drinks and food and all. I quite like it.

Oh, and there might be a flaw (that is the term, isn´t it, if theres "ein kleines Problem"?) with bathing. Noone minds you wearing a bathingsuit, but most visitors don´t. So this would meen, we get to know each other "in the flesh" (I hope I am not making a rude joke. I just meen, well, we would maybe or not maybe see us naked)

As a roughly new member of h2g2 I couldn´t follow your complete conversation about this meeting. So if there is anything more clear now than a date in the first half of December at a place somewhere in the blackwoods can anyone tell me these details?

As I lived in KA for almost half an year I visit the ZKM already. You really have to be a hardcore fan of modern art and media to like it. The chance of getting depressed is really very big.

Anyhow I would take place on a tour in KA.

as the official date of the southgerman meeting in the vicinity of Karlsruhe or Calw.
