Thanks - ToB is really all B'Elena's fault and she is a very hard task master. I am just glad that some people seem to like the tale.

I didn't even know the 42 word one had been posted!

It's a good thing Bel keeps you at it then. The one about water really chugged around in my mind for ages, wondering why people do things the way they do - the ruts they get into and somehow lack the imagination to change. In the end, I think I could understand some of it by contortions of empathy. One of my brothers lived in Morocco for a little while (no more than a few months I think) in the hippy era. He and some of his friends stayed with a Moroccan farmer and his family, who sort of adopted the bunch of useless English wasters. Otherwise, they would just have passed through on their way back to Malaga. He came away with a very happy (if weed-induced hazy) memory of Morocco and its people. They sounded to me unaccountably generous to strangers who were not a bit of use to them. Your Fatima seems to have had a splendid stroke of luck getting a useful and hard-working fella like you. Mind you, my brother is much improved now. All growd up and responsible likesmiley - laugh

Thanks and I am glad that you are enjoying the tale. I too came to Morocco in the Hippy Era (though - strangely - we didn't smoke whack-baccy at all) and it left an indelible impression on me then. Moroccans are incredibly welcoming and hospitable - embarrassingly so. However - Fatima isn't lucky to find me, I was luck to find her - she is a strange and remarkable creature and I will never be able to repay her for what she did for me in Oman (where we met) - but that's another story completely.
