Well, I hope I actually get this to the right spot. Anyway, it's nothing that will bring eternal happiness, but will kill a few ours and fill in a lunch break if need be. But, I wrote it and did a bit of research. I must admit, although I do love the writing... it's the fame I seek.

Hi!
I read your article with interest - I love sea monkeys, and I remember having them when I was an ickle kid.
I think there is very little to be said about sea monkeys that you haven't mentioned.
If I could give a couple of suggestions:
1) I'd leave out the paragraph about Sea Monkeys and our Culture, as it isn't really needed.
2) Try not to include anything in the first person (I/we, etc), as this makes it harder to update entries when we are all long gone.
3) A few typos - this can be sorted out by the Sub-editors, but you may find putting it through a spell-checker may help. I usually find about 10 spelling mistakes per sentence in the entries I write!
Hope this has been of some use
- Adam

Nice article, N0ntoxic. I always wondered what they really were and saw the ads all my life in Harvey comics.. (do you remember reading Richie Rich?).
A tip from your friendly neighbourhood scout - would you mind looking up a bit of GuideML and changing the para headings to BOLD lettering. It makes the article a lot easier to read. I'm aslo sure you could find a couple of articles to reference to... Lemme look up the guide as well, and get back to you on both GuideML and references

Hi! I'm also a big Sea Monkey fan (check out my h2g2 page for the saga of Banjo, king of the sea monkeys). My only substantive suggestion is that you really need to add a link to the official sea monkey website: http://www.sea-monkey.com/intro.html
Oh, and I would also had something about the plethora of different types of Sea Monkey kits out on the market -- for example, the space shuttle kit which has it's own oxygen bubbler, the speedway challenge for sea monkey races, the really sick penquarium and aquarium watch which allow you to take your sea monkeys with you everywhere, the magic castle (which was the abode of King Banjo), the glow-in-the-dark ghostly galleon, the light-up ocean of light, the atrociously ugly ocean of wonder and ocean of fun, and the back-to-basics ocean zoo.
As far as the rest goes, I agree with the above comments on typos, use of 1st person, and GuideML (although the correct tag to be used is HEADER rather than BOLD). However, this is also stuff that a subeditor (like myself) can clean up incredibly quickly.

Thanks for the suggestions! I re-edited the entry as needed and added a few things and learned a little bit of GuideML and updated that as well. *smile*
Anyway, any other suggestions will help out as well. In the mean time, I'm going to do a little research on a new subject (Like finding a new subject first) so be expecting a very detailed article coming soon. (My wife is leaving for a couple months so I need something to do with my freedom... er.. I mean't time)

I really enjoyed this article - I always wanted some of my own after I saw the ad in the back of a comic book. Then I found out that they were actually brine shrimp.
I have a few nits to pick:
"hybred" should be "hybrid."
"...Sea Monkey Speedway, this little contraption..." You have an improper sentence here that could be easily fixed by making the comma after "Speedway" into a period, and capitalizing "this."
"They just require not to be in direct sunlight..." would sound better phrased differently. Maybe: "Their only requirement is the lack of direct sunlight, so an office space or desk drawer is perfect."
"...the animals beauty" should be "...the animals' beauty"

Thanks for the comments! It's always the little things that count, the grain of sand in the oyster's mouth that turns into a pearl! Well, not saying my mistakes would turn into a pearl.. Really, that didn't make any sense whatsoever, so that should clue you into what kind of person I am! (hehe)
Anyway, I had fixed the things you've pointed out, and thank you for pointing them out to me. It's always good to have another person's perspective and it's great to know someone had read the article in such detail! So, how is it now?

Looks good!
"...too small to hug. But are highly enjoyable if you have a hard time raising pets that need to be fed on a regular basis."
Maybe should be:
"...too small to hug, but are highly enjoyable if you have a hard time raising pets that need to be fed on a regular basis."
Just remember: a pearl is a bit of dirt covered with the slimy secretions of a mollusc!

After all this editing, it looks pretty impressive. Helpful, too; I'm raising sea monkeys now, and I didn't know I had to keep them out of sunlight. (I've had a Sea Monkey kit going for eight months now, which is long enough for wild algae to come in and make a bid for dominance. I thought I'd give the algae some sunlight, to make things interesting.)
So, yes, one more vote here to add this entry to the Edited Guide.

Yee ha!! A vote! I'm on my way! I've been working on a guid on riding Grey hound buses in the mean time. I'm trying my best to get it as fine tuned as I can before I even submit this one. Anyway, I edited the article once again. Hopefully soon I will acheive victory!!!
