I can play the bassoon to around associated board grade 6 standard which is more than adequate, i've found for most orchestral repertoire, where we unfortunately tend to get bass parts only on the tonic notes. At a pinch I can also manage some elementary stuff on the Double bassoon and have written an article for the guide on the bassoon (just getting my plug in)
