As much as I'm for the unruled side of the 'net, I do think that a set of GuideLines are neaded. And these are a very good start.
I'm glad that this article was written. Too often you see in fourms people posting questions, queries or statements, that if they had just read that forum they would know the answer to.
I'll admit that some forums are way too long at times, and if you just want to quickly catch up on events, asking for a summary is fine by me. But we should be careful that we don't come into a conversation thinking that we know what's been said if we don't.
By all means ask, but don't assume I think is a succinct way of putting itsmiley - smiley
