oi you!
don't you ever sleep or anything?
I like this very much
As to Gnomes in music, you could mention The Gnome from Mussorgsky's Pictures At an Exhibition. (I'd check the composer's name though I'm notoriously bad at names)

>> whereas a more violent organisation known as Die Screaming With Sharp Things in Your Head mutilates Garden Gnomes and displays the results for all to see on the Internet. << That's shocking, I know they're only figurines, but yet Sho, have you ever heard of something similar going on in Germany ? The garden gnomes are still extremely popular here, especially with people having an allotment garden. I recall the fishing garden gnome in our neighbour's garden when i was a child - there even was a miniature pond and plastic fish in it.

well, I actually hate gnomes - and I live in the country where people tend to have big gardens. Practically everyone in my village has them
MJ- how about a bit of a mention of the kidnapped gnome (gnomes?) who sent postcards from all over the world to his owners? (or is that too much about garden gnomes rather than mythical gnomes for you?)

I get it when I can. Shift work really screws up the body clock
Sho - Thanks for the other music gnomy reference, if you can chase it up for me I'll pop it in
Bella - I think Garden Gnome kidnapping is a pretty worldwide phenomenon
Have you seen this Gnome ???

MJ-I was shocked about the 'mutilating' of them, and then publishing it on the www. garden gnome theft i/kidnapping seems to be worldwide, i agree.

What about Pratchett's gnomes trilogy?
I like this entry, but there's more that could be included.

Terry-bleedin'-Pratchett? Again Alright I'll add him in.
What more could be added apart from a reference to Truckers etc.?

There we go, have altered headers and added a bit more.
I could add something about different cultural aspects of the gnome, but I don't think it's all that necessary seeing as before the 1700s they weren't called gnomes

In Pratchett it's the 'Nome' Trilogy, though given the way it's cited in the Entry there's probably no need to mention that.
By the way, we know what language gnomes speak... sort of: http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/sindarin.htm#Heading5

Gnomish! I thought they all had thick Yorkshire accents
Thanks for that, I think I'll incorporate that in somehow!
Yeah, I thought about Pratchett's 'Nomes' but if you go to the other Entry it explains it much better than I could
