Well, your introductory post here was a bit misleading, since I didn't notice any history in there, but it is an excellent hometown piece. Good job.

Well, alright, maybe it isn't "history" in its purest sense, but I did mention the summer of 1929 once, and since I wrote it nearly a month ago, it's all technically history now, isn't it?

Umm, is that what is call "grabbing at straws"?

A really nice entry about Long Island. The only real flaw was its lack of headers, but that's nothing that the Subs can't handle.

If this is your first effort, write more entries!! The Guide needs stuff that is this well done!

What do you mean by "lack of headers"? Do you mean something to sort of sub-divide the entry into sections? Did that make sense? Are you sick of questions?

'Lack of headers' means you have no headers, and yes they subdivide the entry by putting in sections. If you are using GuideML then the tags are , and with the title of the section between the. Yes it did make sense, and I am not sick of questions Hope this helps Until later....

Wow! This is super!

I've been away for a few weeks, and I come back to this! My gracious thanks to the "recommenders". Now that things have settled down, I'll guess I'll have another go at writing an entry. Now what shall I write about this time? Hmmm....
