There are many tributes paid in The Simpsons to movies, singers, songs, etc.
I start the thread with:
Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Homer gets hit on the head by Maggie and collapses in the basement. There is then a shot-for-shot sequence taken straight out of the shower death scene in Psycho.
