Hello Jaydobkins!
Did you read the Writing-Guidelines before you submitted this? You appear to have missed the following one:
"You and your friends might all know a particular phrase that only exists within a very small group of people. You might consider yourself the greatest living poet. Your pet dog might be able to do amazing tricks. In short, there might be subjects that are of immense interest to you that aren't necessarily unique or relevant to a wider audience. There are plenty of places within the wider h2g2 universe that would love to hear about them - The Post, for example - but that's not really what we're looking for in the Edited Guide. "
So this entry isn't really suitable as an Edited Entry. Would you mind removing if from Peer Review?

Hi,
Gnomon is right!
Hands up all those over 15 years of age who know what Bee-yatch means. No! Make that...have ever heard of the nonsense term.
Where, geographically, is this woyd used?
I thought it was some mis-spelt water-borne sailing craft made from beeswax by a spelling-bee failure!
Don't dismiss!

I don't know where in the world jay is, but I can verify that his use of the word is not isolated. While I've never used the term myself, I have heard it in a variety of contexts from a variety of people over the last ten years or so. I regard it as a throw-away word used to pepper vocabulary, derived from the word bitch.
As for where it is used, I'm in the midwest US but the person I most readily associate with using this word was originally from California. I've also heard gay men use it in various parts of the US, and my sister, who is a high-school teacher, uses it which leads me to think that it might be current popular slang.
None of this changes the fact that the entry is written entirely from the author's p-o-v, and does not consider the wider applications of the word. With a lot of work, this might conceivably touch the fringe of EG eligiblity, but as it sits not only is it not in the ballpark of what would be acceptable, it's not even on the same planet.
jay, would you consider suggestions on improving this? Having a look at the Writing Guidelines as mentioned would be a good place to start.
