Greebo has collected many doughnuts. She did not want anybody to know about them. One day, a friend asked, 'How many doughnuts do you have?'
After pausing a moment, Greebo replied, 'Well! If me divides the doughnuts into two unequal numbers, then 65 times the difference between the two numbers equals the difference between the squares of the two numbers.'
The friend looked puzzled.
Can you help Greebo's friend by finding out how many doughnuts Greebo has?

I think you now have the answer to the 'how to stop Danny winning the quiz' question:
Get Greebo to post maths questions at 10.30 in the morning while I'm still getting used to having to get out of bed an hour earlier than I'm used to...

Suppose the two numbers that Greebo choose are a and b. Then we have a2-b2=65(a-b). But mathematics students will instantly recognise that a2-b2=(a+b)(a-b). That's a very common formula. So 65 = a+b and since it is the total number of doughnuts Greebo wants, 65 is the number she is looking for. No paper required.
