In a box you have 13 orange marbles and 15 black marbles. You also have 28 black marbles outside the box. You remove two marbles, randomly, from the box. If they are of different colours, you put the orange one back in the box. If they are the same colour you put a black marble in the box.Continue this until only one marble remains in the box.
What colour is the last marble?

Ah. Having thought about the question 
it would appear to be orange. The only way of getting rid of orange marbles from the box is to take out two at the same time, but there are an odd number, therefore there will always be one left in the box.

The last marble is orange. The orange marbles could only be taken out in pairs. Since there was an odd number of orange marbles, the last one has to be orange.

In the early stages of the quiz, Greebo generally awards the points for yesterday before she posts today's question, so you shouldn't need "Who's Online" open. When the competition really gets hot, she tends to do it the other way round, and sometimes posts the question within seconds of coming on line, so you have to watch carefully.
Kelli, don't feel ashamed to gloat! And get your answer in first occasionallly to keep these young whippersnappers on their toes!

Actually up in in Scotland at the moment you won't be able to find the marbles as they will either be washed away or under 6 foot of water.
