Gnomon - time to move on Started conversation Nov 29, 2001
Here's today's unofficial question:
I have a dictionary which lists all the numbers from 1 to 1,000,000. What makes it unusual is that the names of the numbers are spelled out in English and they are in alphabetical order. It uses the English form of the names e.g. four hundred and thirty-one, rather than the American form without the "and". The first number in the dictionary is eight. Can you tell me what the last number in my dictionary is?
