You are travelling to the North Pole by sled, but your huskies are too enthusiastic and you overshoot the Pole slighty. Will east be to your left or right, and why is this?

...because... hmmm... when my nose points to north, east is to the right, and if I turn my back to north, it must be the opposite, i.e. left...

Ok so I was first here is the longer explanation
Fron the Northpole all directions are south. So after going past the nothpole you are going south. When traveling south east is on the left.

HollePolle

He must be from somewhere near Gdansk, as that is pretty far north in Poland... smiley - winkeye

If the Huskies were overshooting the magnetic northpole they might still be heading towards the geographic northpole, resulting in East still being to the right!!!

The North Pole is basically ice, breaking up. It is not really a solid mass. This means it is unlikely that you could get to the true North Pole by husky and if you did and over shot you are probably sinking in the Artic Ocean and aren't too bothered if East is left or right. (I'm asuming this is a trick question smiley - winkeye)
