A Conversation for d'Elaphant's Apartment (vacant)
Labyrinth
dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Started conversation Aug 28, 2000
The boxes and things waiting to be put in boxes have created a maze on my floor. I find myself cornered in spots, unable to figure out how to get just five feet across the room.
My movements are like dance steps: left, forward, left, right, back, forward, left, left, turn, back, right, forward, leap, turn, hop. One mistep and I end up with foot inside a box or a stubbed toe. But it does not look graceful, and there is no rhythm.
It does represent progress. Closets are emptying. Clutter is clearing, replaced by the walls of the labyrinth. It is still a clutter, but a clutter with a certain order.
