Hi,
I really hope they didn't make you eat feijoada...
Because that's a naughty thing we do to tourists

Feijoada is a typical brazilian food... as a vegetarian I don't eat it anymore. Black beans - garlic and onion - and pig meat.
It tastes good - but it is very 'heavy' - so the unhappy tourist who is treated to it usually has "digestive" problems for some days.
But the food from the State of Bahia - which is also delicious is even
heavier. Most of it is prepared with 'azeite de dendê' - a yellowish oil extracted from a small nut -- also takes tourists several days to recover.
Some of us are mischevous and allow the poor visitors to try it, without warning them Of course not all of us are always that cruel. Cachaça is safer -- if you don't indulge.
