Boy, you've certainly read a lot into the film. While I enjoyed the body ofthe film, I was squirming because the idea of reality being another illusion and something on the other side of that being reality was given about 30 minutes of screen time and I got it as soon as they started talking about it - Neo just didn't get it.
I also found irritating that for someone as supposedly bright as a computer programmer, he behaved in a remarkably dense way...although that was probably for the benefit of the audience.
For the uninitiated, your piece does very well; I'd likely go as far on a topic of passion for me...which, sadly, The Matrix was not (although it was visually arresting).
