i don't care if it makes me sound like a big girly puff but when i saw that last image of douglas before the end credits rolled i reached up one hand to screen to wave goodbye and just said "thanks mate" and had to struggle not to cry.
it was very emotional, especially hearing journey of the sorceror (nearly in tears there too), seeing 2 marvins (am i the only person who thought the profile of the vogon mic that dropped from the roof looked like classic marvin?)
I didnt see planet douglas on the factory floor until i bought the dvd.
i assume that was eccentricia gallumbits ford was speaking to in the bar on the sneezing planet? I felt zaphod could have been slightly madder.
generally the film was lovely. apart from neil hanlons annoying "so long & thanks for all the fish" song

I never thought about the fact that that could have been Eccentrica before. Thats a nice touch.
Don't worry mate, you weren't the only one weeping!
Although I thought Zaphod was a REAL let down.
