A Conversation for Talking Point: Have You Ever Met Anyone Famous?

Laurence Fishburne's Birthday Party

Post 1

It's illegal in Oak Park, Illinois, to cook more than 100 doughnuts in one day.

Somwhere in this vast world exists a picutre of me, Aaliyah (R.I.P.), her brother and Laurence Fishburne at his birthday party. Who am I to be in this picture, no one famous, at least not yet. I arrived at this party through interesting means...
I went to school in New York with Aaliyah's brother and we became friends. After knowing him for a few years I met his sister and became a familiar of hers. One day while in her apartment in New York city she recieved an invite to go to said party with Jay-Z. Her brother and I happened to be there and he said that she should accept the invitation with one condition, that we were allowed to tag along. This condidtion was agreed upon and we were off. We arrived at the swanky club/restaurant Moomba(sp.?) and were given a table directly (amazing what walking into a place with Aaliyah and Jay-z will do for you, even if it's LF's birthday).
A short while after we were there a photo was taken of the three of us and Fishburne, Jay-z was elsewhere. We ate, we drank, compliments of whomever was throwing the party, and we talked. An interesting time indeed. We jetted off to a couple of other clubs, one with others from the birthday party and then one just the four of us. At this last club we met many people, Peter Gunz, Fat Joe, and I believe Aaliyah met Damon Dash for the first time that night whom she later dated for an extended period of time, I'm not sure though it was rather loud and as you can imagine much was going on around me and in my whirling mind.
All and all quite a Celebrity infused adventure. That is all.smiley - cheers
