On this side of the pond, back in the '60's, I heard a lot of the ones you listed. Different source for some of them of course, it was Saturday morning TV. I also loved the following:

The Witch Doctor by David Sevile and The Chipmunks (I'm not sure of the spelling of his name) It's hard to go wrong with lyrics like: Ooo-eee-ooo-ahh-ahh-bing-bang-walla-walla-bing-bang. Ooo-eee-ooo-ahh-ahh-bing-bang-walla-walla-bang-bang.

Purple People Eater

All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth (Chipmunks version, I felts so sorry for Simon.)

Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer (Not sure about the spelling)

Frosty, the Snowman

The 12 Days of Christmas as recorded by the Chipmunks (Alvin was always sooo funny.)

BTW It was the Chipmunks who recorded a Beatles albums, I still have mine, and I have the CD. Gotta love the Chipmunks, Alvin was my hero.smiley - biggrin

I'll add the ones I can recall being on the radio - Purple People Eater, The Witch Doctor - wasn't it Ooo-eee-ooo-ahh-ahh-bing-bang-walla-walla-bing-bang. Ooo-eee-ooo-ahh-ahh-bing-bang-walla-walla-bing-bang?

Could be wrong...

By the way, do you recall the title of a song about a Unicorn playing in the rain - so he missed the Ark? "..and that's why you'll never see a Unicorn" I remember that being spoken at the end...I thinksmiley - erm

and another...something about a Mexican jumping bean??

Fractured memories...

The unicorn song:

Not sure about the jumping beans, but we had the Mexican Hat Dance and Speedy Gonzalez.

Looking for Mexican jumping beans, I found this, which is so silly, I had to share it.

Human Being

I’m a big brother, I’m a little brother too
And I am a cousin and I’d like to be friends with you

Refrain: He’s not a garbonzo bean? He’s not a lima bean?
He’s not a vanilla bean? I’m a human being!
Bridge: I tried to be a coffee bean, but that was much too crazy for me
I’m not a jelly bean or a Mexican jumping bean
I’m a human being

And then there's the Gnu song and the Hippopotamus song by Flanders and Swann.
