h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I just completed a NCTJ sub-editing course, and am looking to get more experience.

If I can be useful here, I'd be really grateful for the opportunity to help out.

Dear Nick, great to hear from you and a very warm welcome to h2g2! Thank you very much indeed for volunteering your services as a Sub. As you're new to the site we suggest that first of all you familiarise yourself with this week's new Entries published on our homepage:

You can then familiarise yourself more the writing/reviewing process, either by having a go at writing an Entry yourself and submitting it into Peer Review. Or, you can straight to Peer Review itself, picking an Entry title you're interested in, and then you can follow the comments around that Entry as it progresses in the Peer review forum. We suggest you make your own comments too as that way you'll get a real feel for stuff and it will also introduce you to other reviewers and volunteers.

So, when you've gained a bit of experience, got a feel for Peer Review, come back here to this page (this thread even) and, assuming all goes well, we can set you up as a Sub. And you're subbing qualifications will probably mean you won't need to do our subbing test!
