Hello
I have just signed up with the intention of volunteering to be a sub-editor. I'm not sure what happens next, but I'm ready, willing and able. I look forward to sub-editing copy. By the way, I don't know what my number is, but my name is stevebirdedits...
Kind regards
Steve

Hi, Steve.
You can easily find your number by going to your personal space - it's the number at the end of the URL. It's also written right under your name on the right-hand side of your space.
I see you've just signed up - an Ace will be along to your space to greet you properly soon.
Subediting requires a bit of knowledge about the site, how to use GuideML, and the house style - so unfortunately, I'm not sure you can volunteer before you've been a member for a while! Meanwhile, why not practice by writing a few Entries of your own? If you're eager to offer constructive criticism on others' Entries, we'd also be glad to see you in PeerReview.
