Hi there. I'm interested in becoming a Sub-Editor. Editing other people's writing is fun for me; I'm also a Wikipedian, so I know the usual practices of a communally-written resource. Thanks for your consideration. -Etaoin Shrdlu

Hi Etaoin,
Well if you're keen enough to volunteer, and so long as you're happy to get to grips with our House Style, you can call British spelling as silly as you like
I'm going to be sending out some subbing tests this afternoon. Don't be put off, it's just to see at what stage all of our volunteers are with the h2g2 Writing Guidelines, so we can see if you need any pointers before we let you loose on a real entry.
