I'd like to apply to be a sub-editor. I don't have any experience in editing others work but I have a GCSE in English Language and match all the other criteria listed.

Hi Ali,
I'm currently going through all the volunteers to this scheme. Some people have participated in h2g2 in a big way, so it's easy to move them on to the next stage, while others, like yourself, haven't really got involved to the extent where we can tell whether sub-editing is the right scheme for you.
Can I make a suggestion? Take a look in Peer Review and begin interacting with the Edited Guide at source. See what you can do to help other writers and maybe even write an entry yourself. That way, next time we come to recruit (in a month or so) we'll have a better idea of who you are and what subjects you're interested in.
