A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Sub-editor

AFGNCAAP subbing application

Do you need any more subs?
I see some other people have done their qualifications, so here are mine:

I have had approximately three years off unpaid practice as a freelance uncredited sub-editor on the Radio Times Guide to Films (my mum works on it and I help look for mistakes smiley - biggrin), I came top in English in three academic scholarship exams, I have way too much free time so will be able to do at least 4 entries per month, and actually enjoy subbing.

Please let me! smiley - grovel

Hello AFGNCAAP,

We tend to ask that volunteers have participated in the Edited Guide, either by writing entries or commenting on other people's work in Peer Review. It's the best indication that the prospective Sub gets what we're doing here. Can I suggest that you have a look at our <./>writing-guidelines</.> and have a go at writing something? Next time we're recruiting it'd be great to be able to invite you in smiley - smiley
