Hi Dorian,
Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this. As you might know, we've had quite a few changes behind the scenes in the last few months, but things have settled down now (or as much as they're going to at any rate).
If you're still interested in becoming a Sub again, let me know and I'll sort out the necessaries.
Regards,
Jimster

You should now have your subs badge back, Dorian. I'll add you to the Yahoo Group shortly.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
Jimster is mighty busy, I'm sure, so I hope you don't mind me butting in and helping you!
The system now (or at least, a couple of weeks ago) is that batches are composed of two Entries, to be completed in around four weeks (similar to the old system only with double the time / half the Entries). This is to reflect the increased role of the Subs in polishing the Entries, following the staffing changes at the Towers. For example, the Subs are encouraged to find 'Related BBCi Links' for the bottom of the Entries...
Yes, we still shout for batches on the email group. They're allocated to us and can be returned, with comments, all onsite, with the shiny buttons.
If you've got any more questions, you can ask me, or go on the email and ask, I suppose...

Cheers, Whoami?
You should have received an email (to the address you've registered with h2g2) inviting you to the Sub-editors' YahooGroup. If you post to the group we can a) see that everything's working as it should be and b) get you your first batch.
