A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Sub-editor
OwlofDoom presents himself for Peer Review

Hello all you Sub-Editor type people!
I'm posting in this forum because I'd love to be a Sub-Editor!
I'd like to know first, however, how much stuff is involved in the whole Sub-Editing thing. I can manage two to three hours work a week (I'm a fast worker, I reckon I could do a whole entry thoroughly in about half an hour)...
If it's not more that four or five articles to edit a week, I'd love to try. You've probably noticed my attention to spelling and grammar elsewhere, so I won't try and show off now...
Thankee very much for considering me!

Hey OwlofDoom,
Thanks for volunteering I'll add your name to the list and will be in touch very soon. In the meantime it would be fabulous if you could spend some time in Peer Review so that you become familiar with the sorts of entries that come up.
See you soon

This is me: "picked from their yesterday"?
Oh dear. I'm so embarrassed. And to think I'm one of those pedants who gets annoyed at people who make mistakes like this. I must've had too much caffeine that day!

Not to worry Postings aren't the same thing as Entries in my book. Should be in touch with you soon about your application

You might think it's nothing to worry about, but I haven't had any sleep the last few nights worrying about the quality of my English...
Thanks, I look forward to it!

Did you see my article on the front page?

Just out of interest, is Anna on holiday or something? She said she'd get in touch soon about four weeks ago and hasn't been in touch. I haven't seen her online recently either
I'm not trying to rush anything, I'd just like to know what's happened to my application

Yay! Thank you thank you thank you! (More Hivesisms)
I've been looking forward to this position loads now, as I've seen what it entails by looking over the shoulder of my fiancee (eeek this stupid redhat machine won't let me use the win-key to type accents on letters) Nitina who already has herself one of those badges.
