I would like to volunteer to be a sub-editor. I am, at this point, new to h2g2, and I realize that you may be more interested in people with some more experience in the h2g2 site. I do have excellent language and research skills, and I can (and do) provide help for other people in their writings on a fairly regular basis. While not having contributed to the guide myself, I have looked at the peer-review areas and the edited guide, so I think I have a general sense of the kind of writing you are looking for.
