A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Sub-editor
I wish to sacrifice myself...

...for the greater good of the universe, of course.
I just discovered this site--well, yesterday, I guess. And I am completely taken with it and have done nothing but go on to various uninterested relatives ever since about what a fabulous idea it is, how much fun I'm having with all the new stuff I'm learning, and so on ad infinitum.
So I've decided I wish to be a Sub-Editor, because I think it sounds like fun and I want to give back to this luvly community from which I have already learned so much.
I am researcher number 199867, and my nickname is A. Resident, and I can't quite remember what else you asked for so I hope that what I have provided will be sufficient.
Oh, I'll provide some background information so you can see how profoundly unqualified I am. My real name is Simone, and I'm about to begin my senior year of high school in a Los Angeles school (we have probably the lowest-quality large school district in the nation). However, I do edit my school's literary magazine, so I suppose that is a Feather in my Cap. Still, my command of the English language does leave a bit to be desired.
I hope you good people will be willing to overlook my deficiencies and let me work for free.

Dear A Resident,
Thank you for volunteering - it's great to see such enthusiasm for the site (I think it's a rather wonderful place too ) I've added you to the list and in the meantime it would be great if you could get chatting to the Community, in particular in Peer Review and the Writing Workshop. I'll be in touch soon, until then, have fun
Anna
