Name: Still some variation on Dastardly, a closet gargoyle
User number: U168963
I've now been here over a year, count as my own 13 edited entries, have a good grasp of Guide ML and I'm also a Scout. For my sins, I'd like to be a Subeditor aswell, if you'll have me.
So add me to the waiting list, if you please

Yes, you might indeed live to regret using the cliche 'for my sins'. If you want you 'want' to be a sub-editor, why regard it as a punishment? (I'm just a pedant looking for work.)

Ah, but in a conversation forum such as this, as in a radio presentation, it is fully acceptable to use slang and cliches that would not be found in formal prose, thus maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
I've committed enough sins onsite (in some people's eyes) that it's only proper I give something back to the guide.
The main point is that I like writing for the guide, and would like to be more involved in the editing process. Of course, the pretty blue badge is a bit of a lure, as well.

Hullo Dastardly Nice to see you here.
Thanks for volunteering. I'll add you to the list and will be in touch when I do my next round of recruiting, and then a shiny blue badge will be yours.

Hurrah
*throws hat in the air*
I should probably clear a spance on my mantlepiece sometime in the next few weeks. And dig out the polish...can't have dusty badges now.

Woohoo, my own feather duster
*blushes after reading previous post*
I meant SPACE not spance. The preview button is for wimps...but I promise I'll be more careful if I get my badge

*scuffs shoes a bit*
*looks at ground*
Actually, I do have patience. I just wanted people to see this thread on my space, so they know what a conscientious member of the community I am.

Well, I know that already I'll probably get round to recruiting some more Subs next week, so it's really not too long now
