I am 'Sinclair' I live in the U.S. but have an English heritage, of which I am very proud of. I am originally from Canada.
I feel that I can provide a sufficient service to this wonderful organisation and help by editing your guide.

Thanks for the credit to us all, Sinclair. You've seen some of what I've written below before, but just to help again:
I notice from your U number that you are pretty new! How long have you been here? Also, you haven't written an intro to yourself, although you've done a couple of short poems. Being a Sub is all about turnign good entries into Edited Guide Entries. My peronal angle on this is that it's important to speak to the people who wrote the articles, and to know how the whole lot works. I actually feel that I became a Scout a little early, without really appreciating PR. PR is vital in Subbing as well, and experience here, and having read some of the 3122 existing Edited Entries is the most important bit. It's hard work, entries could be anything from 100 to 10,000 words long! If you think you're up to it, keep trying. I'm just saying you might like to wait a bit, and perhaps let your h2g2 personality develop. Also imprtant is that you've hardly talked to anyone. I do not doubt you as a person, but just hope to give you a little food for thought. Nice to meet you Any questions, just ask.

Hi Sinclair,
Thanks for volunteering!
There's currently a bit of a waiting list for Subs, although I'd be glad to add you to it and let you know when a vacancy comes up. Until then, as Whoami says, make yourself at home, read and write a few Entries, and enjoy yourself!

For 'a bit of a waiting list' think 'queue for the best roller coaster at the theme park'. no, not really that bad, but actually signing up to be a Sub now is not such a bad idea. A vacancy will present itself just about when you're ready for the task...
