I have no particularly relevant skills apart from being a student and so used to getting submissions up to standard, I also used to be involved with the Uni newspaper.

So glad you want to volunteer for Subbing - you seem eminently qualified. 
We have a small waiting list for Subbing at the moment, but I'd be only too glad to add you to it and let you know when a vacancy appears.
