My reason for volunteering: I've just left college and although I'm looking for a job, I have plenty of free time on my hands so editing guide entries sounds like something I could do.
I'd like to know when people will be asked to be Subs because the next month for me is tied up because I will soon be going to Canada.

Hi Snowman (oo - your own personal smiley!)
Thanks for volunteering to be a Sub. We can take you on right away if you like, but I was wondering if it might be best to wait until after your move to Canada. We generally give Subs a month to complete a batch of four entries, which would really get in your way if you started now...
Would you still be able to Sub once you got to Canada? We'd certainly like to take you on - let us know what you think.

Chris, I should have written that last posting differently because I'm not going to Canada to live there, I'm going on holiday on the 30th of July and will return on the 15th of August. I could possible sub a few entries between now and the 30th but as I will be getting ready for Canada I may not have all that much time, so it may be better to wait untill I return from my trip.
