Well one thing you would need to know as a Guru is that you didn't need to give those extra pieces of information. Your nickname is visible at the top of your post and (with mouse-hover, right-click or source-view) your U-number is also visible since it is part of a link to your personal space on h2g2.

You asked for them, I gave them. Does it really matter that you could have found out anyway?

I normally recruit on Thursday afternoons, so in the meantime, if you could visit U295 and have a look at the type of questions that we have, and see if you can answer any. I'll need to see you posting before I can recruit you. Don't be shy of entering feature suggestions and commenting, the more Researchers who post there, the better we like it.

I wonder what the longest the active list of posts visible on U295 / MP295 has been. Tango and Spelugx seem to be into collecting statistics. I can't remember the number one of them came up with for researchers who were genuinely active on the site as opposed to merely registered. Mostly you don't even get all the gurus on one thread at once (eg removed from conversation list) though we could try some weekend. Are there any silly sponsored events coming up? Perhaps h2g2 doesn't do that sort of thing. Look how little time it took me to wander totally off-topic. I'm learning the ways of the h2g2 force so quickly. It probably helps that I was always weird though.

If you look at the U295 account, you will see some threads attached to the Personal Space. If you want to have a look through those, that account is subscribed to the entries on h2g2 where Researchers ask questions, so pick something and see if you can either answer, or offer an opinion on.

I'm not sure what SEF has been eating today...

So I'll go and have a good rumage through them and see whats there.

Yep. I have to get loads of work to do for tomorrow. So what did I do last night, when I should have been going to bed? Asked to join the Procrastinators' Society. And what am I doing now, instead of working? Playing NetHack, spodding and chatting to you.
