May I please be a Guru? I know the <./>DontPanic-FAQ</.> off by heart, am helpful by nature, and know h2g2 inside out and outside in.

Hi! Mina will come along on Thursday afternoon to recruit. You should hang around <./>mp295</.> until then, answering as many questions as you can. Even if another guru has already answered, you can still post something, if you think it will help, even if you are just agreeing with what the other guru said. Anything to get yourself seen. If you like you can post links on this thread to the threads you have helped on so they don't get missed. Good luck!

By the way, <./>MP295</.> shows the most recent questions asked in likely question-asking places. For example, it is subscribed to all the <./>Feedback</.> forums. Roughly once every weekday, it is unsubscribed by one of the Italics from all the answered questions - if there aren't any conversations listed, all the questions have been already answered!

You also need to know how to bookmark conversations by posting what appears to be a useful post but has no actual content (like this one for instance ).
A lot can be learnt just by watching the other gurus do their jobs. That way you'll learn the common answers to the common questions. You also use the visitor tag on your user space which is a Good Sign(TM).
