Hi html works. Mina doesn't recruit until Thurdays, so you have plenty of time to prove your value as a Guru. So you probably want to hang around U295 and have a go at answering the questions that appear there. You also want to make sure that your know where to find all your information in the <./>Dontpanic-FAQ</.>. We've [the gurus] been discussing whether there should be a test for new gurus (like there is for CAs and subeds), and although we decided against it since there's so much a guru can know, we came to the conclusion that being a guru is as much about knowledge as it is being able to answer people's questions expediently and politely. Having said that you should still make yourself familar with the info available on the DNAhub.

You don't have to answer questions straightaway, you can just watch and see if the other gurus say what you would have said. And if they do, then next time, you can answer it yourself. By thursday afternoon, when Mina will come along to see how you're doing, you should be confident answering questions yourself (at least, ones your know the answer to, feel free to leave ones you don't, someone always will). Above all, make sure you enjoy it!

Can i recommend that you don't use BLOCK CAPITALS as it is seen as shouting, and considered rude.

Just out of interest - have you deleted the Guide Entries? I can't see them on <./>MA219676?type=2</.>...

Hi html works,
As the other Gurus have said, I recruit on Thursdays so I'll be back then to see how you've done at answering some questions on h2g2 Support, S'pe;lug:x has given you the details.
Please remember that we prefer our volunteers to use straightforward English when they have their volunteer hats on so that they can be understood by all.
Good luck, and thanks for volunteering.

If you try your best, and are willing to learn, then *I* think you have a very high chance. It's being willing to learn that is important.

Hi html works,
I've had a look and can't seem to find anywhere you have been answering questions, can you point me to a couple of places? If you could also look round the <./>HouseRules</.> and the FAQ that would be great.
