I am unable to post to the personal space of a particular researcher. I always get the message:
What would cause this?

They probably belong to another site (one of the messageboards perhaps). If you let me know the U number, I can let you know which site you need to register with.

Couldn't there still be a problem with an MB being closed at the moment?

About the moderated entry, I hope it was nothing I said.

They first registered on WW2 so you'd have to sign in there. Try visiting their space on WW2:
<./>/dna/ww2/U1071908</.>
If you click on the 'Leave a Message' button on this page you should be asked to confirm membership of ww2, and after you've done that, it should let you post.

Jimster,
I followed the link you suggested, arrived at the proper place, but still got this message:

Phred Firecloud Posted Aug 20, 2005

P.S. I'm Jim, not Jimster! But we often get mistaken.

Not with a personal space. They aren't subject to closing times.

Jim Lynn,
RE; The law of unintended consequences...Many of my recent conversations lost the number of unread new posts after I joined the WW2 site and left Human a message...When I left a message on my own site I was promted to login again and these then reappeared. Thought you might like to know..I run a very minor IT empire myself and these factoids from users can be helpful at times.

> "my recent conversations lost the number of unread new posts"
That's because you ended up starting a whole new account rather than just partially re-registering your old one with the new site, ie ww2. SSO messes with people like that (in a way that the previous genuine single sign-on didn't). So you are now both U1293358 and U1900301. When in one account, you won't see the number of unread posts for the other correctly.

You'll have to log out of the new account, back into the old account and, if you want to continue with your conversation on ww2, you'll still have to sign up for ww2 on your old account. Try signing in directly to ww2 with your old login name and password and it should work.
I'm sorry if my instructions were confusing.

They weren't confusing at all. I just didn't read them completely. Thanks.
