Remove me from a friends list

Post 1

Keithanthony

I know how to remove somebody from my friends list but that doesn't remove me from their friends list!

How do I do it without them seeing this post so that I can just slip quietly away, from the Woman who has been toying with my emotions and promising we'd meet and tormenting me with her silly game for a year since we met here having joined a day apart!

Mug that I am she really suckerd me good!

Thanks

There isn't a button to remove yourself from someone else's friends list (eg in the way you can remove yourself from someone else's article which credits you as a researcher). It has been proposed as a new feature several times though.

Thanks SEF smiley - ale
I only ask because I have been fool enough to allow myself to be led on by a researcher I met here a year ago on the day I joined, one day after her.

We used to chat through the night for a 12 hour stretch but not lately!

She even removed me smiley - erm from her personal Bulletin Board recently, now that has to be a hint don't it!

Clearly time to wise up and get on smiley - run!

Thanks again Sef

since I don't know where else to ask this, and I am the person with the list that kieth wants to be removed from, so it'll kill wo birds with one stone.

Is it possible to have my acount removed from h2g2, and if it is, where should I send the request?

Thanks in advance

Lynda

There's some information here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/DontPanic-Register#11.

You can have your registration details removed from the BBC database, you'll need to email [email protected] to ask them.

LQ - Just plain old LQ

This isn't anything specifically to do with me, but I've noticed that apparently the feature to remove yourself from someone else's Friends list has been added...but for anyone. That is, if I wanted I could type in a random user number and remove people I have never talked to before from their Friends list.

Or at least, I assume I could. I haven't actually tried it obviously.

This doesn't particularly affect me, but I suddenly noticed this apparent possibilit and thought I should let you know, in case you do want to do something about it, and this seemed to be the appropriate thread. (Or should I have gone to the Feedback button on the left?)

This is actually a long-standing bug in the stylesheets - it shows a remove link on anyone's personal space, not just yours. But the links don't work unless it's your list you're looking at.

OK then, but as I said, I didn't want to try it myself. I just thought I should check that people were aware (although I suppose everyone would have to be completely blind not to notice it...)

Lynda whose list i wished to be removed from turns out to be Andrew a transvestite who was playing a long running game with me.

If you check my pages and his/hers you shall discover that he/she even had an accident and died on the same day i was attending my aunties funeral and then magically he/she reappeared some time later saying it was all mistaken identity.

Lots of his/her friends on the board here were naturally distressed and sending messages back and forth throughout this period.

This man/woman is dangerous and to be avoided at all costs!
