Sorry about this.
the quote from Yoda after Luke sees Laya and Han in pain is as follows
'Always EMOTION is the future'
Of course this means that the quote has nothing to do about free will but basically shows that the future is not certain as you can not see events but just feelings.
May the force be with you

This phrase was dubbed 'In Bewegung die Zukunft ist.' ('In Bewegung' = 'in motion') in the German version of the film, so I guess it's quoted corrctly in the entry.

I'll have to check my copy of Empire strikes back. I was sure it was emotion as all Luke and Yoda could see was Han and Leia in pain(i.e emotion).
I only watched the new dvd versions a few weeks ago, but i could pretty much quote the entire film verbatium(big word for 10am).
Will have to see. Maybe put subtitles on.

Directly quoted from the English Special Edition, using subtitles:
Luke: "They were in pain."
Yoda: "It is the future you see."
Luke: "Future?"
-Pause-
Luke: "Will they die?"
Yoda: "Difficult to see."
Yoda: "Always in motion is the future."
Luke: "I've got to go to them."
Yoda: "Decide you must how to serve them best.
Yoda: "If you leave now, help them you could...
Yoda: "But you would destroy all...
Yoda: "For which they have fought and suffered."
So the quote is "in motion", it makes sense in the context ("Will they die?") and the next part of the conversation where Yoda explains how Luke's decision will impact the future supports my point anyway.

Sorry about calling you on it.
Thats my fault for trusting my own ears.
In some ways the point would be valid either way anyway.
Obviously my Star Wars knoweldge isn't the best. Still marked myself as a Jedi on the last Census.

Hey, no problem. The quote does make sense either way; once you brought the question up I wasn't sure which one it was until I went back and watched it with subtitles again. It's good to have somebody making me double-check my research.
Thanks!
