I was disappointed you didn't say more about the book. Nobody has mentioned what seemed to me to be the central point of it, Stephenson's whole theory about neurological pathways allowing people to be controlled through a linguistic metavirus--incredibly interesting and complicated. I mean, I haven't read anyone else who can combine William Gibson-esque cyber-punk with Sumerian myth with revolutionary ideas about the human brain and come out on top with a book that's still fascinating and entertaining.

Arwen, Queen of Reunited Gondor and Arnor

Not only that, but the author of this review never even MENTIONED Y.T.! Y.T. is the coolest, and without her, the whole book would have sucked. grr... i thank the reviewer, however, for not referring to this book as the "pizza maffia book."
