h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Don't know if it's a bug, but it certainly seems something is wrong. I wrote an article, title "Jet Wash" A415108. Despite changing the search criteria to search everything on the site, the search routine doesn't find it.

What worries me rather is that I did a search on "Jet Wash" and "Jetwash" and "Jet-wash" etc BEFORE writing the article in case I was duplicating material. Is it possible there is another similar article which is also not registering on the search?

Also, if my article is not found, nobody can read it unless they stumble into it via some other route.

I read, in another (similar) problem, that it seems to be a problem with the search engine. It doesn't seem to have updated for a wee whiley. TPTB are working on it, and looking into a non-MS solution Other than that, I have not seen any other Jet Wash entries - and if there was, it probably wouldn't be as good as yours anyhoo

Thanks Crescent - yes most of the time the search engine is fine, but sometimes like a fine wine, it can go all funny. We are looking at solutions so watch this space.
