A Conversation for h2g2 Feedback - Bug Reports

Today I was delighted to discover that someone I thought I had lost contact with is still around the BBC DNA sites. However, when I try to post him a message I get the 'You must be logged into h2g2 in order to post here' message. I AM logged in. The user in question is U1338066 - why can't I leave him a message?

Thanks

U1338066 is registered on the ww2 sub-site of dna. That means you need to re-register your account with ww2 in order to leave a message. However, the links and threads have recently been made to look as if they are on whatever site you were using and there's a bug which then means you get the wrong registration form and error message. If you look at the PS on ww2 and then try to post, you should get the right registration form:

Oh, I seesmiley - smiley. Because I have moved so easily between BotF, Get Writing and hootoo for so long, I had forgotten that you have to re-active your account to move to other sites.

Anyway - a message has now been left for Mr Mac and I thank you for your helpsmiley - ok.

RFJS__ - trying to write an unreadable book, finding proofreading tricky

I've just experienced the same problem when trying to start a conversation on U526719. This mysterious OakHeart hasn't created any Entries or postings on any DNA site (PS included), but has added me and two other Researchers to his/her friends list, and I at least hardly ever post to DNA sites other than h2g2, so it seems probable that OakHeart is registered with h2g2.

I thought it was now possible to post to Spaces without introductions, but for whatever reason this one greets an 'unknown hiker' and gives me the version of the Brunel sidebar one usually sees only when not logged in.
