I have a thread on my PS, (Chocolate Bourbon Creams) that says '1 new post' and '26 minutes ago', but when I click the link to read it, there is no new post, just an old one mine from Jun 28, 2006. Also when I return to my PS, it still says the same, instead of saying 'no new posts' smiley - weird

Woooo...

I went to your PS and found just what you described. So I then subscribed to the thread, went back to my convo list and found 'Five New Posts' (as you would when you'd just subscribed to a thread) with the last '40 minutes ago'.

Except there were only four postings and the fourth was still your June one.

No idea smiley - erm But definitely something odd going on with that one.

(And having had a click around, it does seem to be just that thread in particular smiley - weird)

This has happened (and been reported) before. The last N times I think it was deemed too intermittent to be explicable/fixable.

The other freaky/annoying thing which has been happening lately is the declaration on an MP of 1 new unviewed post which turns out to be the post just made by yourself and viewed at the time of posting (ie the page did load then rather than break down partway as sometimes happens).

I've also seen the 3-minute timeout apparently flouted by someone, with posts showing as less than 2-minutes apart. This persisted through a couple of refreshes but the underlying data (which I checked a couple of times later) claimed they were 3 mins and 2 secs apart. So there are some very weird and mixed server timings affecting things.
