Can't remove my entry from Peer Review

Someone has submitted my old entry on St Andrews to Peer Review clearly without spotting that it is already an edited guide entry.
The automated message I receieved clearly states that I can remove it from peer review if I want to but this is not the case.
The 'remove' button is certainly there in the PR list but when I click on it, it tells me I cannot remove the article as I do not have permission to do so.

Aside: If it (A510553) is your old entry, shouldn't it already have had a previous PR thread attached (F62542)?

Well yes, and indeed it does.
This was put here by someone who appears to have turned up to h2g2, submitted this for PR and, well... nothing else really.

Oops sorry wrong thread for that response.
The article was submitted to PR by someone who has done nothing on h2g2 *other* than submit my old article for PR.

So it's the new PR thread which isn't attached. OK.
Perhaps the explanation for the submitting person doing nothing else is that they were looking for info on St.Andrews, found your entry rather than the EG one (eg because search is rubbish and the instructions for everything important are easy to miss in amongst all the rest) and decided to report the faults in it with the button apparently designed for the purpose!
I suppose people ought to do more tidying up of their old entries, eg pseudo-deletion or clicking on not for review. I wonder if there's any automatic process which could now go through looking for similar unsafe pairs (old vs EG). It would have to take account of those which don't make it through PR though rather than modifying all. So it's probably not worth the effort of coding.

In what should be an easier bug-fix feature though, the author always ought to have permission to remove something from PR (or other review forum), regardless of who submitted it.

"The entries I had through Peer Review were switched to 'not for review' after they came were copied by the Sub-Editor.
Wonder if the discussion < F3719964?thread=3044391 > 'Submitting others people's work' has anything to do with it. "

Re post 6.
Quite and exactly what I was getting at.
I'm not going to remove my old entry as I rather disliked the edited entry for diluting it and taking half the humour out.

I'm positive that the author always did have the ability to remove their work from a review forum if someone else had submitted it. Therefore I think that this is something that got broken in one or other of the DNA updates.

I think it worked back in 2003. I don't know when it got broken though.
