Concerning the latter, if we can get it organized in time, I could announce the winners when I am in England next spring. I am turning 60 and there is going to be a birthday party for my h2g2 friends in London or someplace in the South of England. The details are still sketchy. Your President has never had a birthday party, so my friends decided it's about time I did.

h2g2, and much of the rest of us, is going through summer and vacation times. Attendance is sparse, to say the least. Plenty of time to seek out folks that probably are emminently qualified to iron out details. Plan a bit of a PR affair, and maybe set a beginning point as the first of September. With entries accepted through the winter (sorry, folks of the southern hemisphere) and perhaps a closing date of March 31st, 2009.
A couple of months of volunteers then filtering, reading, comparing notes and opinions, ... All could be ready for final awards and announcements at an h2g2 Meet in early May.
