The best PDA is still the first: The Newton, from Apple computer.
I use a Newton MessagePad 2100 on a daily basis.
I can surf the web via my wireless network card at the cafe, receive and send emails, use an external keyboard to take notes, and write entire 12 page term papers for classes, then print via InfraRed to my HP printer.
And unlike the Palms, and their Graffiti input, the Newton has REAL handwriting recognition.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
