Hiya Kitty!
I took my son to York Dungeon in 2006 after he begged and begged
I didn't like the dark and the smell and the noise. Andrew loved the torture room with the fake bloodied body impaled on the torture wheel
He loved the things that made him jump but when he knocked on a pair of double doors and nothing happened, he started to walk away then they were flung open by a woman with the pox who asked who asked (yelled) who was disturbing her, he jumped a mile!
said could we form a queue for the "doctor"
in the room they were treating patients who were all filthy, dying or in various stages of decomposition all the while the poxy
woman was wandering round touching the visitors, prodding and poking and humming and "aaah-ing". The doctor kept pulling bits of blood-soaked material out of the "body" on his "operating table"
and I kept feeling sick but Andrew thought it was great.
When we were all herded into a "court" the Judge on high demanded one of the prisoners be brought to the witness box, and I was pushed up the steps. I stood there quaking and the Judge yelled at me, "Where are you from, retched woman?" I said "Cleethorpes" and she cackled, banged the gavel onto the desk in front of her and yelled "Guilty - take her away to be executed"
I'm *never* going back there! I can't even bring myself to look at the photos, and Andrew keeps asking when we're going back!

This is a lovely little piece. I do hope that you keep writing stuff for
for warning me about the dungeons at York I will definitely avoid them now. I was a little scared when I went to Jorvik Viking Centre there.
