It is a mind boggling idea that the weather on this small and insignificant blue planet would be of any interest to life forms in the galaxy, be they single celled or other. They may be our interstella cousins, but they would probably turn their tiny noses up at our obsession with the strange events in our atmosphere, and tell us to go and play cricket, or some other equally brutal game.
I agree with the solution: to stay at home and make a realy good cup of hot brown tea. Chances are you'd end up creating the improbability drive out of thin air. That way you'd be able to cross such vast distances between the stars that all the problems of being couped up in a tin can for many years would be eliminated, including the way that we'd all turn into blithering idiots. Hang on, aren't we like that anyway? After all, we are obsessed with the weather....

That's because we're all agreed that talking about the weather makes you the biggest bore in the galaxy - who's going to post to a thread about the weather? And how sad do I have to be to talk about talking about the weather? Still, it's a nice day, plenty of sunshine ...

Hey Trillian, glad someone mentioned weather, it matters to earthbound misfits as it governs whether they can fly, glide, parachute or otherwise launch themselves at the universe.

Today it rained not, and I stayed completely dry. HA HA HA. Somewhat untypical holiday weather I must admit...

Why does it have to be so cold? If it is absolutely neccesary for it to be cold then it might have the common decency to snow as well.
